This project drew inspiration from the designer, inventor and professor Neri Oxman. The concept of growth vs. assembly was explored, juxtaposing the autonomy of nature against the processes of the man made. These methods of creation express themselves in different ways. In the process of creating a machine, an assembly of parts typically take on harsh geometric forms that allow each part to fit together. When one looks to nature however, they see that growth expresses itself most often in organic flow and variation instead of uniformity.
